CompuTrainer Classes and Fitness Testing

Not all CompuTrainer studios are the same!

Individual CompuTrainer sessions and Personal Fitness tests are always available during our regular shop hours. Just call ahead to have a spot ready for you.

There is no time limit on individual training sessions during regular store hours.

Winter is about to arrive and the weather has begun to change. Now is the time to plan out your training for the 2010 season. No other device can help you improve your cycling performance the way a CompuTrainer can.

Unlike other training centers or spin classes, we set up your daily sessions to coincide with what your training plan calls for. You do the type of training you need each time you ride. No more having to adjust your program to what everyone else in the MultiRider group is doing. We know many people have a coach or training plan, they just need a place to train properly.

We offer our CompuTrainer athletes the option of saving their performance file electronically or having a paper printout of their individualized daily training session. This allows them to forward their data to their coach or keep a personal printed log of all their statistics for the entire fall and winter training season. But there are more options available!

Training Peaks software is the premiere power meter analysis software. The data collected from your CompuTrainer session can be analyzed to further help improve your performance. Each ride is dissected into the important information you and your coach need to keep your plan moving forward. A seasonal summary can also be provided to show how you progressed over the winter. You get a snapshot of your whole training season on one page!

Be sure to ask about our Season Pass!

Training Peaks allows you to look at your workouts in a totally new way!

Journal pages allow you to view all the vital information at a glance!

In the chart shown here, the features of the CompuTrainer Pro are compared to the two most popular indoor cycling training devices. Stand alone resistance trainers have no monitoring features at all. The athlete must provide additional computers and power meters in order to track any training information.

Most spin bikes have no information displays and no ability to be modified to accept them. Some spin bikes can be retro fitted with a basic cycling computer, but still have limited training information. Because of the inaccuracy of the actual resistance mechanism, neither spin bikes nor resistance trainers allow the user to accurately repeat any given workout.

In addition, these devices cannot be programmed to provide the user with an individually design training session.

Without the ability to control and repeat a given training session all the user is doing is getting tired. There is no way to track individual progress in fitness or technique.

At Smart Cycling Bike Shop we use only CompuTrainer Pro trainers for our classes and individual sessions.  No matter what your goals are for next season, you can be ready. Whether you are a recreational cyclist, planning a century ride, a triathlete aiming for your first Ironman or a competitive road cyclist, this is tool to use. We also have a treadmill available for those of you who want to do bricks.

Our CompuTrainer library contains over 650 race courses and training routes. Experience the actual effort required to meet your goal by riding the course itself. If you have a favorite course you ride and have a GPS cycle computer, give us a copy of the file and we will make a CompuTrainer 3D course for you to train on.

Monitor your workout by power output, pedaling technique, cadence and energy use not just heart rate. The CompuTrainer is also the only trainer in the world that analyzes your pedaling technique. Determine what your strengths and weaknesses are by training on the most sophisticated bicycle training device available.

Improve yourself  at a level you never experienced before. You can train alone, against a past performance, against the computer pacer, against another athlete or against a group. We have over 500 courses available, including all the latest triathlon races. Find out now what you need to do to be ready for your race!

Single CompuTrainer sessions during regular shop hours are $20.00, with no riding time limit.

Our 10+ Ride Ticket gives you two extra rides for free and a print out of each training session.

Our Season Pass gives you 3 months of unlimited CompuTrainer sessions, printouts and coaching help.

We also offer a monthly CompuTrainer package with a personalized and structured coaching plan.
