THANKS TO ALL OUR SUPPORTERS FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS!

September 2005 we set out to establish a bike shop that was more than just a place to buy a bicycle. We wanted to give people information, education and reliable service and products. We felt if the bicycles we sold were really quality, we would be willing to stand behind them. So we offered a lifetime of free adjustments. If you couldn't get to the shop to have your bike repaired, we would pick it up. If you had too many bikes (families with kids) we would come to your house and tune them up there. Turn around for a bike tune-up was 24 hours.

We provided coaching and training, and also offered classes on anything related to bicycles and training. During winter months we had a CompuTrainer Studio so our customers could prepare for the upcoming season. We started a Junior Development Team to get kids safely into racing. That project expanded to include Paralympic athletes.

Unfortunately the current economy just doesn't support newer bike shops. So effective July 31st, Smart Cycling Bike Shop will close its doors for good. However, Steve Thordarson is a Licensed Level 1 coach with USA Cycling and a Licensed Mechanic as well. He will still be providing coaching and training, as well as bicycle repairs and tune ups. So, if your bike needs work, give us a call and we will still come and pick up your bike and repair or tune it. Our turn around time will still be 24 hours.

As things develop, we will post information on the website. Our Junior Development Team and Paralympic efforts will continue. We look forward to continuing our service to you.
